This is the renowned family wine estate with Mediterranean flair at the entrance to the town of Beckstein. Close-to-nature viniculture of classical as well as new vine varieties. Winery Johann August Sack

In the time-honoured cellars of the landmark-protected patrician house built in 1706 by the wine merchant dynasty Buchler,  wines with regional characteristics have been cultivated for more than 300 years. The estate wines are all descended from the vineyard region "Gerlachsheimer Herrenberg", strictly a steep south-southwest location with shell limestone soil. Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, White Burgundy, Kerner, Bacchus, Late Burgundy and Riesling are cultivated on about four hectares of vineyards.

Organic Wine Estate Weingut Baumann

Weingut Baumann, as well as the distillery and apiculture belonging to Michael Baumann are found in the Grünbach Valley, at the foot of the imposing Gerlachsheimer Herrenberg. This is a cultural landscape which has been characterized by viniculture for centuries. We live in a cultural-historical as well as an especially ecologically valuable region. This inheritance from our ancestors must be protected and defended for future generations. With this awareness in mind, the two operations have resolved to tread new paths. Since August 2008, the cultivated regions have received ecological certification.
We want to make wines with their own character, living wines which reflect our own ideas. Wines which reflect the uniqueness of the terrace grounds of the Gerlachsheimer Herrenberg, wines which realise the idea of sustainability.
